We don’t know about you, but one of our favorite types of festivals to visit are those focused on foods from around the country. From seafood and burgers, to pizza and ice-cream, these food festivals have it all. Here are some of the most popular festivals in the United States for 2015 that are definitely worth traveling for!

Kennebunkport Festival, June 8 – 13
The Kennebunkport festival is one of New England’s premier destinations for food and wine tasting. This amazing festival is held for an entire seven days on the coast of Maine and features not only food, but wine tasting and works of art for viewing. There are also several cocktail parties, dinner parties, and live music shows you should be sure to take advantage of.

Taste of Chicago, July 8 – July 12
Taste of Chicago is known as being the worlds’ largest outdoor food festival and one of the most traveled to in the country. The Taste is held for five days, and attracts around 3 million visitors and serves more than 200 menu items. The entrance is free, while restaurants set up stands to sell their food through a ticket system, making it definitely worth the cost. There of plenty of live must see musical guests and family activities to partake in to make it even more enjoyable.

Truckeroo Food Truck Festival, June 12, July 10, August 21, September 11
The Truckeroo Food Truck Festival is a monthly food truck festival held in Washington D.C. The festival provides a long list of over 20 local food trucks each month with some very unique eats. Live music can be enjoyed all day long along with cold drinks, picnic areas, and plenty of games such as corn hole to enjoy.

Austin Ice cream Festival, August 8
If you like sweets this is the festival for you! This event offers all the ice cream you can eat, along with lots of games, activities, and live entertainment. If you are feeling daring you can also enter one of the many contests including a homemade ice cream making contest, a popsicle stick sculpture contest and of course and ice cream eating contest.

Hawaii Food and Wine Festival, August 29 – September 13
The Hawai‘i Food & Wine Festival is the most sought after food event in the Pacific. It takes place on the paradise island of Hawai’i for seven days and features a roster of over 80 internationally-renowned master chefs, culinary personalities, and wine and spirit producers. The festival provides wine tastings, cooking demonstrations, and exclusive dining opportunities with dishes highlighting the local meats and crops.
