Here is a look at some of the most popular festivals that are definitely worth traveling to during Spring 2014!

National Cherry Blossom Festival, Washington D.C.

March 20–April 27

Nearly a million visitors travel to D.C. each year in springtime, when some 3,000 cherry trees bloom the city’s Tidal Basin. This year’s National Cherry Blossom Festival features a series of Japanese-themed art shows to celebrate the gift’s centennial, including a major exhibit of Hokusai’s “Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji” at the Smithsonian.

Austin Food & Wine Festival, Texas

April 27–29

The Austin Food & Wine Festival will showcase Texas’s culinary expertise. Dozens of  high-profile chefs will be attending in order to give demonstrations, offer signing, and tastings. The festival will also have live music, a VIP opening-night part, and a taco contest!

Jazz and Heritage Festival, New Orleans

April 27–May 6

One of the best times to visit one of the most lively cities, New Orleans, is between April 27 and May 6, for the 43rd annual Jazz and Heritage Festival. The festival provides an amazing lineup of well know jazz musicians as well as plenty of native New Orleans artist. Along with great music, the festival provides countless option or Cajun cuisines and entertaining nightlife.  

Yosemite National Park, California

April 21–29 (National Park Week)

National Park Week in Yosemite is one of the most sought after locations of r spring trip planning. The weather is warm, the dogwood trees are in bloom, and the beautiful waterfalls are at their fullest point. Special celebrations are held, as well as a number of outdoor activities to partake in including horseback riding, fly fishing, and hiking. During April 21 through April 29, admission fees are waived and everyone can enjoy the beautiful National Park for free.
